Christmas Tree Care
Christmas trees can look and smell fresh for 3-4 weeks with the proper care.
PLEASE KEEP YOUR TREE IN WATER. You have a living tree – you must keep it in water.
The best way to do this is by using one of our stands which is designed to hold water. If you don't have a stand use a bucket and water.
We cannot emphasise enough the importance of keeping your tree watered. A fresh cut tree can absorb up to a litre of water per day. Make sure you keep your tree watered. (get the point yet?)
If your tree is left out of water for too long the base will dry up as a natural form of protection. This will prevent water absorption. The best thing to do in this case is to cut a small amount off the base of the tree, say around one centimetre. This removes the protective coating and allows the tree to absorb water once again.
Keep your tree out of direct sunlight and away from heaters and air conditioning units. All of these scenarios dry the Christmas tree out prematurely.
